Without giving any names, I am asking you to join me in going to the Father for these requests. Remember that we have full access to go to Him in prayer through Jesus. Lord, we pray for:
- a site member with a special needs daughter with multiple challenges of body, mind, and spirit. Pray for mom S. and daughter E.
- a site member who has crisis level needs for housing. He is living in his shop, which is leaking. He wants and needs a small house of his own. It is the rainy season there and that makes things very difficult.
- several site members with long term medical issues who are looking for relief, wisdom, and healing. My wife still has a cold. I am awaiting surgery. others have mobility issues and pain. Lord, please bring your healing and peace to all these needs. Let us hear the good reports so we give You the credit for answered prayers.
- What do you want me (us) to pray for? To let us know, just “leave a reply” right below this post. (You must be signed in to make any comments.)
Thank you for your prayers for all site members. Let’s lift each other up and then look for how God is going to answer these prayers.
This resource is from Crosswalk. It is a pdf file that contains suggested prayers for Holy Week, starting tomorrow, Palm Sunday. Use whatever prayers and approaches that work best for you. Follow the Lord’s leading, and you can’t go wrong.
God bless you as you prepare your hearts and minds to remember the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Prayers needed this morning once again. Thank you for your prayers.
UPDATE: The Bible study this morning went GREAT! Yon was listening, did not interrupt, and heard some very clear presentation of who Jesus was and is.
Once again, Karen and I appreciate your prayers as she teaches the Bible study at the senior center this morning. I am there as a pastor and to keep things on track, to keep things focused. Particularly, please pray for Yon to be convicted of his need for Jesus and for others to be able to concentrate and focus on the scripture. We are studying John 12:1-19. It should be a great study.
Also, please pray that the Lord would keep showing His plan and will with our car. It is still at the body shop, waiting on a part. We have a regional manager advocating for us, which reminds me of a very important point – when we sin, we have an advocate with God, Christ Jesus the Righteous.
Thank you, Jesus, for being our advocate and our friend, and thank you Dear Reader, for your prayers!
One more request please – my friend Jim is having a biopsy on his thyroid.
God be with you today.
It is frustrating when people don’t communicate with us – very frustrating! However, that is not the case with communicating with God. That’s because Jesus is our intercessor, our great High Priest! Here are two scriptures that affirm this truth.
Hebrews 4:14-16 King James Version (KJV)
14 Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.
15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
After some delays and confusion, it looks like we will get our Rav4 from the body shop on Friday! Yeah!! Today, we bought four new tires at a tire shop directly across the road from the body shop. That’s really cool! Please pray this process has no more bumps in the road. Once again, thank you, Lord, for protecting us and providing in many ways!
Tomorrow (Thursday), the Classic Quartet from Brandon Baptist Church will be singing at Park Place Baptist Church. I will be singing two songs tomorrow as part of that concert. I will be singing “Healing Prayer”, which I wrote “No Hiding Place/My Tribute” medley (spiritual/Andrea Crouch). I will also be talking to others about the website.
Finally, I am getting close to finishing a new C.D. So far, it has 7 songs, along with a “musical blessing” and beginning and ending thoughts and reflections. I believe it will minister to seniors and others who need a soft place to land.
Thank you for your prayers for all these things!
Just a short note as we enter in a new week and a new month. Also asking for prayers for me and for the site.
There are times I am overwhelmed by the needs I see around me, and the needs of this community. One, in particular, has been on my heart this week. The Lord is also challenging me to do things in Him, as He leads, and to do them with patience. I am weak in that area, and I know I am not alone. I want the Lord’s will to be done with this site, and I want to lead it effectively. I want people to know they are cared for and supported. I can do that a little bit, but the Lord can do it completely. I want people to be closer to Jesus and get more into His word, something we all need to do.
Please pray for me as I get ready to substitute teach in my Sunday School class in a few weeks. Pray for the physical, mental, spiritual, financial, and emotional health for each site member. More specific requests are on the prayer wall. If you have forgotten your password, just let me know, and I will send you the password for the prayer wall and the memory wall. Send all questions, comments, concerns, requests, and/or contributions to the prayer wall or memory wall to me at firstname.lastname@example.org
With love from the Lord,
Sometimes our timing and God’s timing are completely different. He has a lot bigger puzzle to solve than we do. Here are two scriptures to look at in regards to waiting for prayers to be answered:
Hab. 2:3 –“This vision is for a future time. It describes the end, and it will be fulfilled. If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed.”
Rom. 8:24-26 – “For in this hope we were saved; but hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what he can already see? But if we hope for what we do not yet see, we wait for it patiently. In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know how we ought to pray, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groans too deep for words…”
