I went to the doctor’s office today, and I am thankful for quick relief.

It started on Friday when Karen and I pulled out some vines that were wrapped around some lilies at  Karen’s mom’s house. Her mom’s name is Jackie.

On Saturday, my hand started to itch a little bit, but not too bad. On Sunday, my hands started to swell up. Today I went to the pharmacist and asked for a recommendation. He said to go to TrustCare clinic. (I am still in the process of trying to establish a regular doctor who accepts new patients.) TrustCare took me right in. I was able to get the shot (for itching and swelling), plus a prescription for steroids, which I started when we got home. I am very thankful the Lord led our steps to this doctor, clinic, and pharmacy so I could get some relief. The swelling is really irritating. I am supposed to keep my hands elevated (may help my praise life!) and keep a cool compress on them. Once I get finished with this post, I will do that very thing!

Thank you for your prayers for healing and relief. I pray the same for you, whoever you are. God be with you. He is faithful.

  1. I’m glad you got swift, effective help! I wonder what it was you were exposed to. That might be good to know. I’ll be praying for continued healing.

    1. Thank you for the prayers for continued healing. The shot and the steroids are helping already. From what I hear, I may be “wired” for a while. Better than feeling oppressed. I think it was poison ivy or a related irritant.
