“be born of the seed of Isaac” –

  1. Gen. 17:19; 21:12; 26:2-4; NT – Mat. 1:2; 17; Rom. 9:7;
    Heb. 11: 17-19

    Gen. 17:19 – But God replied, “Your wife Sarah will indeed bear you a son, and you are to name him Isaac.e I will establish My covenant with him as an everlasting covenant for his descendants after him
    21:12 – But God said to Abraham, “Do not be distressed about the boy and your maidservant. Listen to everything that Sarah tells you, for through Isaac your offspring will be reckoned. 

    26:2-4 – The LORD appeared to Isaac and said, “Do not go down to Egypt. Settle in the land where I tell you. 3Stay in this land as a foreigner, and I will be with you and bless you. For I will give all these lands to you and your offspring, and I will confirm the oath that I swore to your father Abraham. 4I will make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky, and I will give them all these lands, and through your offspring, all nations of the earth will be blessed,

  • Mat. 1:2 – 2Abraham was the father of Isaac, Isaac the father of Jacob, and Jacob the father of Judah and his brothers.; 2Abraham was the father of Isaac, Isaac the father of Jacob, and Jacob the father of Judah and his brothers. .In all, then, there were fourteen generations from Abraham to David, fourteen from David to the exile to Babylon, and fourteen from the exile to the Christ. ..

  1. When I see this I am reminded of how people sharing testimonies will often say, ” I came to the Lord twenty years ago or I came to the Lord 5 years ago. ” Look how long ago he came to us! And he patiently waits for souls. He is so generous and gracious. Thank you, Father, that you love us each so tenderly. Please, send Your Holy Spirit to remind us always of that love and the joy we bring to You and ourselves when we share it with others.
