Deut. 18:15, 18-19 – A prophet like me will the Lord, your God, raise up for you from among your own kindred; that is the one to whom you shall listen; 18 I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their kindred, and will put my words into the mouth of the prophet; the prophet shall tell them all that I command. 19 Anyone who will not listen to my words which the prophet speaks in my name, I myself will hold accountable for it.
Mat. 21:11 – And the crowds replied, “This is Jesus the prophet, from Nazareth in Galilee.”
Luke 7:16 – Fear seized them all, and they glorified God, exclaiming, “A great prophet has arisen in our midst,” and “God has visited his people.”
Luke 24:29 – But they urged him, “Stay with us, for it is nearly evening and the day is almost over.” So he went in to stay with them.
John 7:40 – Some in the crowd who heard these words said, “This is truly the Prophet.”
Acts 3:20-22 – and that the Lord may grant you times of refreshment and send you the Messiah already appointed for you, Jesus, 21 whom heaven must receive until the times of universal restoration of which God spoke through the mouth of his holy prophets from of old. 22 For Moses said:
‘A prophet like me will the Lord, your God, raise up for you
from among your own kinsmen; to him you shall listen in all that he may say to you.
