Prayers requested for myself and for all site members

Please spend some time in prayer for myself and all site members. I am having some occasional hip pain. I don’t know whether it is muscle, nerve, or the hip (right now it’s the right hip. Sometimes it’s the left one. I will be on Medicare on Aug. 1 and plan to set up a “welcome to Medicare” appointment. I have been without insurance for 13 years and the Lord has sustained me through it all. I think the Medicare will help a lot.

Site members, I haven’t forgotten about you. As I am reminded of your needs, I pray for you. I know of needs you, your neighbors, and your families. So many others have needs far greater than mine. We all need the Lord’s help, and that comes through prayers for wisdom, peace, provision, healing, and whatever else the Lord wants to do in and through us.

I went to the doctor’s office today, and I am thankful for quick relief.

It started on Friday when Karen and I pulled out some vines that were wrapped around some lilies at  Karen’s mom’s house. Her mom’s name is Jackie.

doctor's office
On Saturday, my hand started to itch a little bit, but not too bad. On Sunday, my hands started to swell up. Today I went to the pharmacist and asked for a recommendation. He said to go to TrustCare clinic. (I am still in the process of trying to establish a regular doctor who accepts new patients.) TrustCare took me right in. I was able to get the shot (for itching and swelling), plus a prescription for steroids, which I started when we got home. I am very thankful the Lord led our steps to this doctor, clinic, and pharmacy so I could get some relief. The swelling is really irritating. I am supposed to keep my hands elevated (may help my praise life!) and keep a cool compress on them. Once I get finished with this post, I will do that very thing!

Thank you for your prayers for healing and relief. I pray the same for you, whoever you are. God be with you. He is faithful.

Old man

Thoughts (From Toni Nichols) – “What does the Lord think about our bodies?”
Toni Nichols

I have been thinking about my imperfect, broken and somewhat deformed body, and speaking with my Mom tonight, whose body is a captive of Parkinson’s I asked her, “What do you think the Lord thinks about our bodies?”

There was silence.

Consider how in the Old Testament nothing deformed could approach the Holy of Holies, or be offered as a sacrifice to the Lord.

But we have our answer in the Old Testament book of Isaiah and the subsequent accountings of the life of Christ in the New Testament. It is clear what He thinks.

“Isaiah 53

Who has believed our message
and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?
He grew up before him like a tender shoot,
and like a root out of dry ground.
He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him,
nothing in his appearance that we should desire him.
He was despised and rejected by mankind,
a man of suffering, and familiar with pain.
Like one from whom people hide their faces
he was despised, and we held him in low esteem.
Surely he took up our pain
and bore our suffering,
yet we considered him punished by God,
stricken by him, and afflicted.
But he was pierced for our transgressions,
he was crushed for our iniquities;
the punishment that brought us peace was on him,
and by his wounds we are healed.
We all, like sheep, have gone astray,
each of us has turned to our own way;
and the Lord has laid on him
the iniquity of us all.
He was oppressed and afflicted,
yet he did not open his mouth;
he was led like a lamb to the slaughter,
and as a sheep before its shearers is silent,
so he did not open his mouth.
By oppression and judgment he was taken away.
Yet who of his generation protested?
For he was cut off from the land of the living;
for the transgression of my people he was punished.
He was assigned a grave with the wicked,
and with the rich in his death,
though he had done no violence,
nor was any deceit in his mouth.
Yet it was the Lord’s will to crush him and cause him to suffer,
and though the Lord makes his life an offering for sin,
he will see his offspring and prolong his days,
and the will of the Lord will prosper in his hand.
After he has suffered,
he will see the light of life and be satisfied;
by his knowledge my righteous servant will justify many,
and he will bear their iniquities.
Therefore I will give him a portion among the great,
and he will divide the spoils with the strong,
because he poured out his life unto death,
and was numbered with the transgressors.
For he bore the sin of many,
and made intercession for the transgressors.”

Keith Green live singing his song “Easter Song”, and giving his testimony. Enjoy the song. Just click the link below:

Keith Green’s “Easter Song”

“Hear the bells ringing, they’re singing that we can born again. Hear the bells ringing, their singing, Christ is risen from the dead.

The angels upon the tombstone said “He is risen, just as He said. Quickly now, go tell His disciples that Jesus Christ is no longer dead. Joy to the world, He is risen. Hallelujah! He’s risen. Hallelujah! He’s risen”

And the church responds, “He has risen indeed!”

Life Church Online easter for the holidays

Life Church Online is Preparing for The Easter Holidays

Life Church Online is a real Christ gathering in every sense of the word. If you really look at what scriptures say:

Built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone, in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord. In him you also are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit.

Ephesians 2:20-22

Jesus never had a building or even a home to call His own, not in the sense that we do. He being the cornerstone goes to say that the church is more than just a building. It is people, believers in Christ. So it goes to say that Life Church Online where believers gather in one place online becomes Christ’s fellowship.

Life Church Online is preparing for The Easter Holidays

How they are doing this is the current message series titled “What Jesus Never Said.” Pastor Craig is playing off of social media and rumors that run the gambit. He is trying to help set the record straight on what is true from the Bible and what is not. Focusing on Jesus as if it was not for Jesus Christ we would not have Easter Holidays. This weeks message focus’s on truth, how society tends towards there is no real truth just truth that is real for each individual. But, real truth is from the Bible not individuals.

What else Life Church Online is doing is to prepare their volunteers and staff. The Easter Holidays is one of the most attended holiday of the year. We have multiple online meetings, resources and emails preparing our hearts and minds for all who attend in chat. This Sunday if you would like to see me in church I co-host the Youtube Live Stream at 10 am Central Time. I also co-Host Team Lead on Thursday 4 pm Central Time. I also co-host team lead on Thursday at 4 pm Central time at Either time would be an opportunity to see the Easter Celebration and get to know me better. If you could not make those times the message will be aired 83 times all week long. Just check the schedule tab at Live Life Church.

You and I were made to worship!

“Made to Worship” by Chris Tomlin is a hymn for all ages. It is for the young who are just learning about worship, and for those of us on the senior side of life. As part of our recognizing who God is and giving Him credit for all He is and does, we need to speak, sing, or otherwise express these ideas. In short, we need to worship the Lord with all our heart. That’s because, as the song says, “All we are and all we have is a gift from God that we receive.” Let’s get hold of Jesus, get a good look at His face, and allow the words to come from our lips that give Him full props. After all, we were made to worship!

Trust and Obey words and music

“Trust and Obey” is the song and the message we need to absorb and live out, but how do we do that? How do we apply it? How do we live out the words to the song “Trust and Obey?”

The song “Trust and Obey” was written in 1887 by
D.B. Towner, the first director of music at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago.

 “The blood (of Christ) alone makes us safe. The Word (of God) alone makes us sure. Obedience (to God) makes us happy.” – D.L. MoodyContinue reading

Talking to My Soul

Vs. 1
Sometimes I have to give myself instructions. I have to say things to my soul. I don’t want to head into destruction, so I listen to these words to make me whole.

“Rest in God alone, not your thoughts, not your phone. He is your rock and your friend. Your fortress around you. His presence surrounds you. He stays with you right to the end.”

Vs. 2
If only I would listen to that voice inside my head, the one the Lord has placed there for my good. He tells me what to do, what to say, and where to go. If only I would listen as I should.

“Rest in God alone, not your thoughts, not your phone. He is your rock and your friend. Your fortress around you. His presence surrounds you. He stays with you right to the end.”

Psalms 62:2

God is my rock and my fortress

62: 5-8

5Rest in God alone, O my soul,
for my hope comes from Him.
He alone is my rock and my salvation;
He is my fortress, I will not be shaken.
7My salvation and my honor rest on God, my strong rock;
My refuge is in God.

8Trust in Him at all times, O people;
pour out your hearts before Him. God is our refuge.
