I will start with the update so those following this website can know what is going on in the healing process after surgery. Then I will give my reflections.
First of all, this is just the beginning of the recovery process. Of course, I hope the process goes quickly so I can go move on to better health and less pain. This is where I am, at the beginning of the process. It is not easy, but I am getting lots of good advice in how to manage the pain. It is uncomfortable getting up from anything – a chair, the bed, the car. This is the hard part right now. I have been given some good advice, and I need the Lord’s help to follow it and to remember it. Your prayers will help as well. They have gotten me this far.
I had surgery yesterday, Oct. 22. I checked in at 5:30 a.m., taken to a room where I met with the doctor, the anesthesiologist, and a nurse. I got into the world-famous hospital gown and waited for the next step, which was a nurse finding a good vein for the port for all they were going to put in me – I.V, fluid, knock out drugs, and who knows what else. The actual surgery time was 8:00. When I came out, I was loopy, as could be expected. I learned that I had been admitted, which was not what I had planned or hoped for, but it ended up being the best thing for me. (Special note: Karen was there every step of the way. She came home to grab her some breakfast for today and brought me a snack. That was nice. She was determined to spend the night with me, for which I am very grateful! She is a trooper and a great helpmate and lifelong friend. Wow! We got home at 11;30 this morning. It was so good to be home!
In all of this, I am learning to lean on the Lord, step by step, and to trust that He really is in charge. I am so glad, and I have many more lessons and adventures in faith to come. The prayer support for this process of surgery and recovery has been absolutely overwhelming! I am so blessed.
Well, I.ve got to go take care of my body. Lord, give me wisdom and relief and healing. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Ps. 102:24-27 – I say, “O my God, do not take me away in the midst of my days, Your years are throughout all generations. 25 “Of old You founded the earth, And the heavens are the work of Your hands.
26 “Even they will perish, but You endure; And all of them will wear out like a garment; Like clothing You will change them and they will be changed.
27 “But You are the same, And Your years will not come to an end.
Heb. 1:10-12 – And, “You, Lord, in the beginning laid the foundation of the earth, And the heavens are the works of Your hands; 11 They will perish, but You remain; And they all will become old like a garment, 12 And like a mantle You will roll them up; Like a garment they will also be changed. But You are the same,
And Your years will not come to an end.”

Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You With the oil of joy above Your fellows.

May we be a people that are zealous for good deeds for Jesus. With His help, we can be.
Day 92 of 100 prophecies fulfilled by Jesus – Be a prophet like Moses
A prophet like Moses
Deut. 18:18-19 – ‘I will raise up a prophet from among their countrymen like you, and I will put My words in his mouth, and he shall speak to them all that I command him. 19‘It shall come about that whoever will not listen to My words which he shall speak in My name, I Myself will require it of him.
John 6:14 –
When the people saw the sign that he had done, they said, “This is indeed the Prophet who is to come into the world!”
Editor’s note: I think it was really cool that Moses met up with Jesus at the Mount of Transfiguration. This prophecy about Jesus is that He would be like Moses. Maybe some people thought He was.
